Noclor is delighted to congratulate two long-standing collaborators, Professor Joanne Gibbs and Professor Joshua Buckman, on their promotion to professorships at University College London (UCL).
Academic promotions to Professor at UCL recognise individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and international distinction in research, education and academic leadership, following a rigorous university-wide promotions process.
Professor Joanne Gibbs has been promoted to Professor of Healthcare Delivery and Innovation at the UCL Institute for Global Health.
Jo graduated in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2001 and is a Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV, combining clinical practice with internationally recognised research. Her work at UCL focuses on developing and evaluating innovative digital sexual health services, with a particular interest in translating research into practice and ensuring new models of care reduce health inequalities.
Professor Joshua Buckman has been promoted to Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at UCL.
Josh's career spans psychology, epidemiology and clinical psychology, with a strong focus on combining research and clinical practice to improve mental health care. Following a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellowship and PhD, his research has centred on dementia, depression and the use of large-scale clinical datasets to inform better patient outcomes.
Both professors have made significant contributions through their collaboration with Noclor, supporting high-quality research that improves health services and patient care across North London.
