Patient Public Involvement (PPI)

You are here

Patient Public involvement is an integral to any research study and is valuable at all stages of a project. PPI groups offer an alternative viewpoint from the research team often due to lived experience.

Involving patients in your research design and development will make a difference to the success of your project and reassure the Research Ethics Committee (REC) that the research respects the rights, safety and dignity of participants. Increasingly funders of research require PPI as a condition of funding.
